Privacy policy
Last updated November 1, 2026
FirstAITutor is a website of short learning games. This policy says what information the site collects, why we collect it, where it is kept and for how long. It covers every page on www.firstaitutor.com.
The short version
- You can play every game without an account or a sign-in.
- Players' names and game records stay in your browser. They are not sent to us, except how far into a game the player got, which goes with survey answers you choose to send.
- We receive information only when you choose to send it: survey answers, a mistake report, or an email address for the launch list.
- For anyone who says they are under 16, the survey and the mistake report ask a parent or guardian to say yes first. The launch list is for people 16 or older.
- We do not set cookies, and we add no advertising or tracking tools to our pages.
Who runs FirstAITutor
FirstAITutor runs this site and decides how the information described here is used.
To reach us, write to emily@keylink.io.
When you play
You do not need an account to play, and there is no sign-in.
On the "Who's playing?" screen, a player can pick a first name or a creature picture. The player's name and game records are kept in this browser, on this device. They are not sent to us, except how far into a game the player got, which goes with survey answers you choose to send.
A player can also play as a guest. A guest's game records are deleted when the tab or the browser is closed.
If survey answers cannot be sent because the device is offline, they wait in this browser. They are sent the next time the site is open and online.
To remove all of this, clear this site's data in your browser's settings.
What you can choose to send us
Through the site, information reaches us only in the three ways below, and only when you press Send or Notify me.
The end-of-game survey
At the end of a game we may ask up to 13 short questions. Answering is up to you. Your answers go to our server only if you answer and press Send.
- What we keep
- Who answered (an age group, or teacher or parent), whether a parent or guardian said yes, which game, how far into the game the player got (screens played and whether Skip was used), the answers, any words written in the comment box, the date and an answer code.
- Names
- No question asks for a name. The comment box asks you not to write names, yours or anyone else's.
A mistake report
Inside a game, you can write to us about a mistake you found. The report goes to our server only if you write it and tap Send.
- What we keep
- Which game, the name and number of the screen it was sent from, your words and the date.
- Age
- Nothing about your age is sent with a report.
The launch list
On www.firstaitutor.com/launch, people 16 or older can leave an email address to hear when FirstAITutor launches and when new games arrive.
- What we keep
- The email address, the words of the box you ticked, the tag of the link you came from (for example "bio"), a random code for an unsubscribe link, and the date.
- How we use it
- We use your email only for these updates. We never sell it, and we share it only as this policy describes.
We also get a copy by email of survey answers, mistake reports and new launch-list signups.
If you write to us by email, we use your message and your address only to answer you.
What we do not collect
- We do not keep your internet address with your answers, reports or email address. When a form arrives, our server code reads it and only the two details that give its type and size, never your internet address.
- No form that sends information to us asks for a name.
- We do not set cookies, and we add no advertising, analytics or tracking tools to our pages.
- We do not sell or rent any information.
- While you play, the site sends nothing to an AI company. No AI runs while you play.
Children and parents
Most of our games are made for children and teens aged 9 to 16. A child can play every game without giving us any personal information.
- Playing needs no account, no email address and no name. A first name typed on the "Who's playing?" screen stays in that browser.
- Before a player who picked "I'm 9–12" or "I'm 13–15" answers the survey, the survey shows a screen for a parent or guardian. The questions open only after the button "I'm the parent or guardian and I say yes" is pressed.
- When a player says they are under 16, the mistake report asks a parent or guardian to read it and tap Send.
- The launch list is only for people 16 or older.
We cannot check anyone's age. If you are a parent or guardian and think your child sent us information without your yes, write to us and we will delete it.
Because we do not ask for names, we need something to find what was sent. For survey answers, send the answer code shown after Send. For a mistake report, send the game, the day it was sent and the words written.
Why we use it
- Survey answers
- To make the games better, and for our study of how learners find them. We rely on your consent, and for anyone under 16 a parent's or guardian's.
- Mistake reports
- To fix mistakes in the games. We rely on your consent, which you give by tapping Send; for anyone under 16, a parent or guardian gives it.
- Launch list
- To email you about the launch and new games. We rely on your consent.
You can withdraw your consent at any time by writing to us. Withdrawing does not affect what we did with your information before.
Who else handles it
Cloudflare, Inc. hosts the site, runs our server code, keeps our databases and sends us the email copies. Like any web host, Cloudflare sees each visitor's internet address in order to deliver the pages, and may keep it in its own logs under its own privacy policy. The logs of our own server code are switched off. Cloudflare also shows us overall counts, such as the number of visits and the countries they come from. These counts name no visitor, but Cloudflare's security tools can show us the internet addresses of some requests.
The email copies are kept in our mailbox at our email provider.
We use Claude, an AI assistant made by Anthropic, to help us read survey answers and mistake reports after they reach us.
We share information with no one beyond the services named on this page, unless the law requires it.
Where it is kept
We have two databases: one for survey answers and mistake reports, and one for the launch list. Both run in Cloudflare's Eastern Europe location.
Cloudflare, our email provider and Anthropic may also handle information in other countries, including the United States.
How long we keep it
- Our server deletes survey answers and mistake reports automatically 12 months after they arrive.
- We delete the email copies of survey answers and mistake reports within 12 months.
- We delete the email copy of a launch-list signup when that address leaves the list.
- Copies we download for our study are deleted when the study ends.
- Backups are kept for up to 30 days.
- We keep an email address on the launch list until you unsubscribe or ask us to delete it. Every launch-list email we send has an unsubscribe link.
Your rights
Depending on where you live, you may have the right to ask what information we hold about you, to get a copy of it, and to have it corrected or deleted. You may also object to how we use it, and withdraw your consent.
To use any of these rights, write to emily@keylink.io. We will answer within one month.
If you live in the European Union, you can also complain to your country's data protection authority. In Finland, that is the Office of the Data Protection Ombudsman.
Changes to this policy
When we change this policy, we change the date at the top of this page.
